Biography
Khaled Beydoun
Khaled Beydoun launched Riposte Capital in November 2013 and has over 25 years of capital market experience. He began his career as an equity research analyst covering Pan-European Utilities & Power at HSBC James Capel, London from 1996 to 2000 before transferring to New York. He joined Credit Agricole’s Equity business (CA Cheuvreux North America) in 2002 and was promoted to CEO in 2006 where he oversaw all aspects of the business, including proprietary trading and risk management.
Khaled left to launch Riposte at the end of 2012 with the backing of a family office. Instead of adopting a generalist approach, he set up the research and investment process focusing on six specific sectors, exploiting the detailed industry knowledge and private market contacts of his partner, to give the strategy a definable and sustainable edge.
Khaled has a BSc in International Finance from the City University Business School (London) and a MSc in Political Economy from the London School of Economics. He was a member of the World Championship and Olympic Fencing squad from 1991-1998 where he represented Great Britain on numerous occasions at both Junior and Senior level.
